Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms cover this website and the early-access programme. A separate agreement will govern the product once it is available.
What LiLianMao is
LiLianMao is a software service. It is not a bank, a crypto exchange, a payment processor, a custodian, or a money service operator, and it holds no VASP or MSO licence. We work alongside your existing licensed banks and OTC desks; we do not replace them.
What the software does, and what it does not
- It generates commercial documents — invoices, contracts, payment instructions, reconciliation statements — from information you supply. Their accuracy depends on that information.
- It presents source-of-funds screening results before a transfer is signed. Results come from third-party blockchain analytics vendors and are indicative, not determinative. We present the evidence; you decide whether to accept or decline a payment, and your decision is recorded.
- It does not convert crypto to fiat, and it does not move funds on your behalf.
- It does not certify that you are compliant, and it cannot make you compliant. It helps you meet obligations that remain yours.
No guarantee of any third party's decision
Nothing we produce binds a bank, an exchange, an auditor, or a regulator. No service can guarantee how any of them will treat a given transaction, and we make no such guarantee. What documentation changes is the position you are in when a question is asked — not whether it is asked.
Not legal, tax, or accounting advice
Nothing on this site or in the product is legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, or investment advice. Our guides describe how documentation and screening generally work. How your group is structured, taxed, and regulated is a question for your own advisers.
Acceptable use
LiLianMao exists to detect problems, not to route around them. You may not use it to evade sanctions, to work around capital controls, to disguise the origin or purpose of funds, or to move money that should not move. We will decline or discontinue service where we believe this is happening, and we will meet any reporting obligation that applies to us.
Availability
The product is pre-launch. Joining the early-access list is not a contract, creates no obligation on either side, and carries no service level. Founding-customer terms will be set out separately and in writing before anyone is charged.
Liability
This site is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and for decisions taken by third parties including banks, exchanges, and counterparties. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. We may update them; material changes will be reflected in the date above.
